We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team in the Kamloops / Clearwater area. This role is vital in supporting our construction projects by operating heavy machinery efficiently and safely. The successful candidate will contribute to our mission of delivering top‑tier industrial construction services with integrity and excellence.

Equipment Operator is responsible for safe, efficient operation of heavy equipment—including excavators, articulated rock trucks, and packers—to support earthworks, final grading, and reclamation activities. This role requires strong technical skill, sound judgment, and a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship. Candidates must bring 5+ years of experience in heavy civil or industrial construction environments.

• Excavator Operation
  — Perform trenching, ditching, sloping, bulk excavation, back filling, and precision work around utilities and structures.
• Final Grading
  — Execute fine grading to meet engineered specifications, elevations, and tolerances for pads, slopes, and access roads.
• Reclamation Work
  — Restore disturbed land, contour slopes, place topsoil, and support erosion control and environmental compliance.
• Rock Truck Operation
  — Safely haul aggregates, overburden, and materials across active construction sites.
• Packer/Compactor Operation
  — Compact soil, gravel, and engineered fill to meet density requirements and quality standards.
• Site Safety Compliance
  — Follow all company policies, WorkSafeBC regulations, and site‑specific safety procedures.
• Equipment Care
  — Conduct pre‑trip inspections, routine maintenance checks, and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Team Collaboration
  — Work closely with foremen, surveyors, and labour crews to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
• Environmental Awareness
  — Operate with care around sensitive areas, watercourses, and reclamation zones.

• 5+ years of heavy equipment operating experience in civil, industrial, or earthworks settings.
• Demonstrated proficiency with excavators, rock trucks, and packers/compactors

• Strong ability to perform final grading to tight tolerances.
• Experience with reclamation
  , land contouring, and environmental restoration.
• Valid driver’s licence
  ; preference for Class 1 or 3 (if applicable).
• Ability to read grade stakes, follow survey instructions, and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of WorkSafeBC regulations and safe work practices.
• Physically fit and able to work in varying weather and terrain conditions.
