Description
The Salvation Army, Clearwater is looking for a skilled pianist who is available for Sunday morning church services, Thursday night choir rehearsals, and scheduled special events throughout the year. Sunday morning church services (occurring weekly from 10:30 am to 12 pm) would include song accompaniments, special selections, and choir accompaniment. Thursday evening choir rehearsals occur weekly from 6:30-7:45 pm (excluding summer and holidays).
All special events are scheduled in advance and will be communicated with the pianist for preparation.
- Proficient piano skills with the ability to play hymns, worship songs, and service music confidently
- Strong sight-reading ability and comfort playing from lead sheets, chord charts, or standard notation
- Ability to accompany congregational singing and soloists sensitively
- Ability to follow a director, worship leader, or church member cues during services
