The Dental Assistant plays a key role in providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a mission-driven, non-profit dental clinic. Working alongside multiple dentists and volunteers in a modern, state-of-the-art facility in Clearwater, this position supports high-quality dental care in a fast-paced environment while ensuring every patient feels welcomed, respected, and comfortable.
The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, adaptable, and passionate about serving diverse and underserved communities.
Experience with advanced dental technology, including digital workflows, CEREC scanning and milling, and 3D printing, is highly valued as the clinic continues to expand its technology.
- Greet and prepare patients, ensuring they are comfortable throughout their visit
- Assist multiple dentists chairside using four-handed dentistry technique
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms following OSHA and infection control standard
- Accurately document patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and clinical note
- Take and process dental radiograph
- Assist with digital workflows, including CEREC intraoral scanning, milling procedures, and 3D printing when applicable
- Take impressions and assist with laboratory procedure
- Sterilize instruments and maintain clean, organized operatories and laboratory area
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care in a supportive, respectful manner
- Assist with charting, lab coordination, inventory management, and other daily clinical operations.
- Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience require
- EFDA or RDA certification require
- Dental Radiology certification require
- Current BLS certification require
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detai
- Ability to multitask and work effectively with multiple provider
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skill
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to car
- Experience with digital dentistry, including CEREC scanning and milling, preferred
- Experience with or interest in 3D printing technology is a plus.
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00PM
