HS IB Science Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School IB Science teacher to join our faculty for the  academic year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sciences and experience teaching at the high school level. Experience teaching in an IB school would be ideal.

• May include teaching IB, College Prep, Honors & AP course in the subject areas of Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Systems & Societies, Marine Science
• Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state science standards.
• Foster a classroom environment that supports scientific inquiry and student collaboration.
• Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments.
• Integrate technology and hands‑on lab experiences into instruction.
• Participate in curriculum planning, department meetings, and school events.
• Provide academic support and mentorship to students as needed.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Science Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Valid state teaching certification in Secondary Science.
• Previous teaching experience at the high school level preferred. IB teaching experience is a plus.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for science education and student success.
• Successful completion of a level II background screening and all diocesan‑mandated trainings.
