Associate Dean

The Associate Dean is responsible for assisting the Dean in the delivery of educational programs and services through:

* Training faculty and staff

* Managing faculty and staff

* Monitoring and maintaining curricula

* Managing the delivery of educational services

* Overseeing and monitoring student performance

The Associate Dean must have a minimum of a Master's Degree with academic experience.

Train Faculty/Staff:
The Associate Dean is responsible for assisting the Dean in developing and managing all faculty and academic staff. To accomplish this, the Associate Dean must:

* On-board and orient new faculty and staff

* Mentor program/department chairs

* Coordinate and provide faculty training

Manage Faculty and Staff:
The Associate Dean is responsible for providing campus level leadership, management, and support for all faculty and academic staff in the programs he/she is assigned to oversee. To accomplish this, the Associate Dean must:

* Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to faculty

* Review student evaluations of faculty

* Conduct annual faculty performance evaluations

* Identify low performing faculty and work with program chairs and Dean to improve performance (enhancement plans)

* Monitor enhancement plans and review progress

The Associate Dean is responsible for assisting the Dean in developing and maintaining a campus curriculum that meets the needs of current students and the community.

A minimum of forty (40) hours per week, plus other hours as may be necessary to complete job duties. A combination a day, evening, and weekend hours is required.
