HS IB Science Teacher

Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School IB Science teacher to join our faculty for the  academic year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sciences and experience teaching at the high school level. Experience teaching in an IB school would be ideal.

Key Responsibilities:

* May include teaching IB, College Prep, Honors & AP course in the subject areas of Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Systems & Societies, Marine Science

* Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state science standards.

* Foster a classroom environment that supports scientific inquiry and student collaboration.

* Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments.

* Integrate technology and hands-on lab experiences into instruction.

* Participate in curriculum planning, department meetings, and school events.

* Provide academic support and mentorship to students as needed.

* Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues.

Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in Biology, Science Education, or a related field (Masters preferred).

* Valid state teaching certification in Secondary Science.

* Previous teaching experience at the high school level preferred. IB teaching experiencing a plus.

* Strong classroom management and communication skills.

* Passion for science education and student success.

* Successful completion of a level II background screening and all diocesan-mandated trainings.
