About the Role

You will not teach; you will motivate students. Your primary focus is coaching and facilitating life‑skills sessions, analyzing data, and ensuring students achieve weekly application targets.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Facilitating one‑hour life‑skills sessions for K‑8 cohorts covering public speaking, concentration, feedback exchange, and other foundational competencies; modify the framework and create new sessions as needed.
  • Conducting daily individual and small‑group motivation sessions to drive every student toward their weekly app targets, leveraging Coachbot analytics and Alpha's incentive structures.
  • Delivering the Test2

Pass mastery‑based evaluation for each life skill, coaching students who do not achieve passing scores until mastery is demonstrated.
  • Adjusting coaching approach across a broad age spectrum, from kindergarteners requiring high energy and physical activity to 8th graders needing direct conversation and accountability.
  • Analyzing weekly cohort performance metrics in Coachbot, pinpointing students falling behind, and modifying coaching tactics for the following week based on data insights.
What You Won't Be Doing
  • Delivering whiteboard lectures; academic content is handled by the applications.
  • Creating an entire curriculum without foundation; you begin with an established playbook and enhance it.
  • Passively monitoring students at computers; motivation must be active, individualized, and persistent.
  • Working through bureaucratic approval processes for resources; when a student requires additional coaching time, you decide and implement immediately.
  • Grading assignments, conducting standardized test preparation, or handling parent communication; those responsibilities belong to Campus Leads.
Key Responsibilities

Guarantee that every student in your K‑8 cohort achieves weekly learning targets, demonstrates mastery of each life skill, and concludes the year expressing genuine appreciation for your guidance.

Basic Requirements
  • Available to work on‑site at an Alpha campus in the listed locations (relocation assistance available).
  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with K‑8 students (classroom instruction, coaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or youth program management).
  • Concrete example of motivating a K‑8 student toward a challenging goal: objective, actions, and results.
  • Comfort allowing AI to deliver instructional content while you concentrate on motivation and life‑skills development.
  • Authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship.
Nice‑to‑have Requirements
  • Background in youth sports coaching, debate, camp leadership, theater, or after‑school programs with direct responsibility for motivating children toward defined objectives.
  • Demonstrated personal achievement (academic, athletic, or professional) indicating high standards.
  • Narrative ability and presence sufficient to engage a room of 12‑year‑olds for an hour without escalating volume.
  • History of transforming disengaged or resistant students into engaged contributors.
