Employment Details

Position: 1 Hours per day: 7.5

Work hours:

8:00 AM – 3:30 PM Full‑time, temporary position:
No Calendar days: 10 months (198 days) Salary schedule: see teacher's salary schedule online Pay Grade: – Minimum

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Experience teaching and supporting students in an online or virtual learning environment.
  • Strong understanding of relationship‑building strategies with at‑risk or disengaged students.
  • Ability to foster student accountability, motivation, and executive functioning skills in a flexible learning environment.
  • Skilled in communicating effectively with students, parents/guardians, and multidisciplinary support teams through phone, email, video conferencing, and digital platforms.
  • Experience using learning management systems (LMS), student information systems, and online instructional tools.
  • Ability to monitor student progress data and implement timely academic and behavioral interventions.
  • Knowledge of MTSS, student engagement strategies, and trauma‑informed practices in alternative or virtual settings.
  • Comfortable conducting synchronous virtual support sessions, small groups, and individualized student conferences.
  • Ability to maintain consistent communication and outreach with students and families to support attendance, participation, and course completion.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage large student caseloads independently.
  • Experience working with diverse learners, including students with behavioral, academic, social‑emotional, or attendance challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining flexibility in a fast‑paced virtual environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Teams, and educational technology tools.
  • Understanding of best practices for online professionalism, digital citizenship, and student privacy requirements.
  • Ability to build positive virtual classroom culture and create meaningful connections with students in a nontraditional educational setting.
