PT Afternoon Float

Harbor View Creative Learning Center is looking for a part time floater to join our team! We are seeking a candidate who can work Monday through Friday from 2:00 to 6:00. This individual must have experience working with children aged one to five years old, primarily in the toddler classroom.

• All Employees will accrue Personal Time and PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
• Sick Pay will be accrued for a maximum of 48 hours, applied to each employee's policy, and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
• Holiday pay will be paid based on your individual average hours worked and will be paid to each employee after their 60-day probationary period.

• We will help you obtain your CDA (Child Development Associate)

• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, songs etc.) to keep children calm and happy
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
• Update our Tadpoles app if needed with diapers or potty training.
• Collaborate with other educators.
• Shutting down the classroom at the end of the day. This will include taking out the trash, sweeping, cleaning the bathroom, and other similar tasks.

• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
• Experience with toddlers
• 45 DCF Training Hours (One year to complete courses and exams)
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to act as a mediator between children
• Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
• Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
