Description

AMIkids Education teams are lucky to work with some of the most underserved kids in our communities. Working with students that come from diverse backgrounds can prove to be challenging but also rewarding. AMIkids teachers get to see the difference that they make in the lives of their students by providing instruction in a smaller classroom setting with support from a family-oriented team.

We seek a Lead Teacher who will ensure the educational quality of the program by coordinating the educational assessment program, teaching middle and senior high school classes, assist other instructors to improve teaching skills, establish and maintain educational plans, and maintain related administrative systems.

  • Work with program managers to ensure a quality educational component and compliance with all state, local, and contractual education requirements,
  • Complete educational assessments for each youth according to state and local requirements,
  • Develop educational goals for each youth,
  • Monitor youth educational progress throughout enrollment,
  • Ensure all areas of curriculum are in place,
  • Ensure identified youth needing special education are receiving services and services provided are documented according to federal, state, and local requirements,
  • Review lesson plans of all instructional staff to ensure compliance with local School District requirements,
  • Assist other instructors in lesson planning, curriculum development, and teaching strategies,
  • Instruct youth in assigned classes,

Role requirements:

  • State Teacher Certification in core subject areas, preferably with an Exceptional Student Education certificate
  • Two (2) years of experience working with youth

Qualifications Education Licenses  & Certifications
Required

Bachelors or better in General or related field.

Preferred

Subject Certificate
