Senior Engineering Technician

Talascend is currently seeking a Senior Engineering Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Clearwater, Florida.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering processes, contributing to the overall success of projects and the growth of the business.

• Setup test benches and equipment
• Conduct tests and experiments according to established procedures
• Analyze test data and provide technical support to engineering teams
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of test procedures and results
• Operate/test with environmental test equipment such as rate tables, thermal chambers, thermal vacuums, etc.
• Operate general purpose test equipment - IE multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team in solving complex engineering problems
• Ensure timely and successful completion of projects within budget and scope
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and efficiency

• Minimum 5 years of experience in test engineering or a similar role

• Must be a US Citizen
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to drive results and meet deadlines
• Experience with test methodologies and tools
• Individuals who take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by event
• Individuals that assemble facts from various areas, analyze data, and provide informed recommendations
• Effectively using data to make intelligent decisions
• Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complex tasks
• Ability to spot out testing issues
• Ability to identify key details, before, during, & after testing
• Individuals with the ability to be coached & learn proper testing methods
• Ability to correctly & efficiently carry out product testing

• Experience with inertial guidance systems/sensors test
