- Ensure proper creepage and clearance for high‑voltage applications
- Create detailed blueprint drawings and technical specifications
- Perform QA/QC reviews of peer designs to ensure accuracy and manufacturability
- Apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5) to ensure proper fit and function
- Lead DFMEA sessions to proactively identify and mitigate risk
- Develop and execute DVP&R plans
- Oversee physical testing for vibration, thermal performance, ingress protection, and crash requirements
- Develop comprehensive assembly documentation
- Provide hands‑on support on the manufacturing floor
- Serve as a technical mentor to junior engineers and designers
- Help train team members on CAD best practices and SOPs
- Act as Project Engineer for assigned product lines, coordinating with vendors and cross‑functional teams (Electrical, Thermal, Software)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
- 3+ years of professional mechanical design experience
Battery systems, automotive, power conversion, or aerospace experience strongly preferred - Expert‑level proficiency in Solid Works or Autodesk Inventor
CSWA/CSWP or equivalent certification a plus - Strong understanding of:
- Material selection (plastics, sheet metal, busbars)
- Thermal interface materials
- DFM/DFA best practices
- Experience with lithium‑based battery systems
- Background in Formula SAE, Solar Car, or similar hands‑on engineering competitions
- A mindset that views challenges as opportunities to innovate and improve
- Innovative products that make a real‑world impact
- End‑to‑end engineering exposure
—from concept through production - A collaborative, technically driven culture
- Opportunity to grow into technical leadership roles
- Competitive compensation and benefits
