Advanced Engineering Support Specialist

As an Advanced Engineering Support Specialist here at Honeywell, you will provide critical technical support to engineering teams, helping to solve complex engineering challenges and ensuring the successful development and implementation of advanced engineering projects. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of any Honeywell Aero location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering operations by delivering expert support, facilitating problem resolution, and contributing to the advancement of engineering solutions that drive Honeywell’s innovation and product excellence.

• Ensure full compliance with export regulations, including the proper use of export licenses when exporting technical documentation.
• Create and maintain Master Parts List (MPL), Document Information Records (DIR), and other configuration management data. Provide hands‑on technical support to repair shops globally using SAP — including analyzing technical documents, troubleshooting issues, managing databases and command media, and delivering on‑the‑job training.
• Conduct document control reviews of engineering documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Perform analysis and coordinate updates of serial number profiles to maintain accurate tracking.
• Offer frequent communication and support to internal clients across global sites.
• Provide project management support and execution for SAP transitions, SAP deployments, enhancements, and other initiatives.
• Project Management Support and execution for cost reduction and engineering productivity projects including repair development, technology, and automation.
• Lead and manage a team of engineers to provide advanced engineering support for projects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and execute project plans.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team in solving complex engineering problems.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and efficiency.

Travel within the US and/or internationally may be required (approximately 10%).

YOU MUST HAVE

• At least 5 years, strong hands‑on experience supporting Aftermarket MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) operations within an Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) environment.
• Expertise in export control / ITAR compliance, including handling and exporting technical documentation.
• 2 years knowledge of technical documentation, databases, command media, and configuration management processes (MPL, DIR, complex BOM structures, change effectivity).
• 2 years of technical proficiency in SAP within a repair shop environment, coupled with general IT knowledge and data management systems.
• Ability to analyze documents, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide effective training, communication, and support to global teams.
• Technical proficiency in the use of Excel, Access, and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Technical proficiency in the use of Teamcenter to manage product data and processes.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or related technical field).
• Proficiency in Visual Basic Programming and Microsoft Access Database.
• Materials management knowledge and familiarity with complex BOM structures.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project leadership experience is a plus.
• Export Compliance certifications (internal or external).
• Advanced skills in Excel, Access, and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience working in a global, matrix environment with cross‑functional and cross‑cultural teams.
