Electronics Technician, Test Engineer
As a Test Technician II at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Defense & Space products through effective test engineering practices in the Environmental Test Lab. You will lead and coordinate testing activities for assigned projects, working closely with cross‑functional teams to define test requirements and specifications. The Environmental Lab provides critical 24/7 testing for more than 30 product lines on the Clearwater campus.
Responsibilities- Perform routine and complex tests on products and components according to established procedures.
- Document test results accurately and report any anomalies or failures to engineering teams.
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing product issues during testing phases.
- Maintain test equipment and ensure calibration and readiness for testing activities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support product validation and quality assurance efforts.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years experience with general‑purpose test equipment (e.g., DMM, power supply, Dewetron, data acquisition devices).
- Experience performing product or component testing in a technical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow test procedures accurately.
- Knowledge of test equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and document technical issues effectively.
- Ability, flexibility, and willingness to work different shifts, flex shifts, and alternate work weeks, including overtime and weekends on a long‑term daily basis as business needs require.
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in electronics, engineering technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years experience in test technician or similar roles.
- Familiarity with electronic test instruments and software tools.
- Good problem‑solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
