Job Description
As a Defense Hardware Qualification Engineer at Honeywell, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful qualification and certification of defense hardware products. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define qualification requirements, develop test plans, and execute testing activities, directly contributing to the safety and reliability of defense hardware systems.
In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager and work out of our Clearwater, FL location on an onsite work schedule. Your responsibilities include supporting test engineering activities for various projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of test processes, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to resolve technical issues.
Responsibilities- Define qualification requirements for defense hardware products
- Develop and execute test plans and procedures
- Conduct tests and analyze results to ensure product quality and reliability
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve any issues or non‑conformances
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
- 2+ years of experience in hardware qualification or testing
- Strong understanding of qualification standards and processes
- Experience with data analysis tools and techniques to evaluate test results
- Master's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- Experience in defense or aerospace industry
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies
- Experience in leading testing activities for complex projects
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with automated testing tools and software
