JOB SUMMARY:

This position is an inside sales role responsible for identifying and qualifying new customers and new business opportunities based on sales potential and product suitability. Primary job functions include responding to inquiries for technical support, product sizing and selection assistance, application assistance and pricing for all FAULHABER products sold in North America. Works together as one team with Account Manager and Inside Sales Representative to support and manage opportunities, customers and prospective customers.

Target customers include original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), contract manufacturers and contract design firms engaged in the design and manufacture of end products that include FAULHABER product. Our customers are innovation and technology leaders within the medical, laboratory automation, semiconductor, aerospace and defense markets.

SKILL SET

REQUIRED:

Knowledge and ability to perform product sizing and selection calculations using product datasheets, design data and equations found on our web site and internal servers and proprietary math models developed for our products. Support customers in the use of the Drive Calculator tool on our web site. Explain design and manufacturing capabilities of various FAULHABER facilities located in North America, Europe and Asia.

Identify and qualify new opportunities based on our product’s fit with the customer’s design requirements. Assess customer needs and support our customer’s product development process for their end product. Apply application engineering and/or design engineering expertise to develop custom motion solutions and manage opportunity and project scope, schedules and deliverables. Develop quotations based on price lists and pricing/product configuration tools.

Review and approve customer requirements for our products, negotiate and resolve any gaps between the customer’s requirements and our specifications and coordinating reviews of any additional customer requirements with other teams and facilities throughout our organization as needed. Additional skills and characteristics required include problem analysis, team cooperation and collaboration, interpersonal skills, organizational and time management skills, empathy and sensitivity, procedural planning, honesty and trust, computer, written and verbal communication proficiency.

  • Respond to all inquiries for pricing, technical support, sizing and selection assistance and application assistance for all FAULHABER products sold in North America.
  • Identify and qualify new accounts and new business opportunities elop new contacts and relationships within engineering teams of customer organizations.
  • Accurately and thoroughly document and maintain all communications and activities with customers in CRM system.
  • Respond to all requests for quotation and follow-up on all quotations submitted to OEM customers.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with all customer contacts.
  • Provide customers with prompt, courteous and competent service and support regardless of sales level, sales potential or communication channel (includes email, phone, internet, online chat, customer on-site visits and trade shows).
