Our client, a leading aerospace and defense technology organization, is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their Engineering/Test Operations department supporting cross‑functional engineering and test teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset that will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Engineering Technician
Location: Clearwater, FL
Pay Range: $28.85/hr | 2nd Shift

• Perform hands‑on testing, troubleshooting, and fault isolation of advanced electronic assemblies for space and defense applications.
• Execute dynamic, thermal, functional, and environmental testing using specialized test equipment and Acceptance Test Procedures.
• Set up, program, and operate electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, DMMs, and logic analyzers.
• Maintain detailed test logs, follow precise procedures, and communicate daily shift pass‑down information both verbally and in writing.
• Support lab maintenance, safety initiatives, standardization efforts, and continuous improvement activities while collaborating closely with technicians and engineers.

• Associate degree, technical degree, equivalent military training, or related hands‑on experience in electronics.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in an electronics or engineering technician discipline.
• Experience reading schematics, troubleshooting electronic systems, and working with general‑purpose electronic test equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow step‑by‑step procedures and generate accurate technical documentation.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends, overtime, and temporary shift changes for training or business needs.

• Prior military experience (USAF/USN) is a plus.
• Experience with Guidance & Navigation Electronics systems is preferred.
• Environmental testing experience is a plus.
