Supplier Quality Engineer

Talascend is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Clearwater, Florida.

Overview

You will report directly to our quality manager and work out of our Clearwater, FL, location. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead supplier quality improvement initiatives, conduct supplier audits, and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct supplier audits to assess capabilities and identify areas for improvement.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities and monitor supplier quality metrics.
• Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers.
• Support building a diverse team through recruiting, talent development, and fostering an inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• 6+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of quality engineering practices and methodologies.
• Experience in conducting supplier audits and driving supplier performance improvement.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to disposition hardware.
• Strong project management skills and influencing and negotiation abilities with suppliers.
