Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop structural calculations and assist in the production of engineering drawings for both Design‑Bid‑Build and Design‑Build projects related to bridge and transportation structures and miscellaneous structures.
  • Prepare and verify quantity tabulations, and perform design calculations for structures, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing report sections under the guidance of an experienced Professional Engineer.
  • Prepare and verify quantity tabulations for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and/or review shop drawing submittals.
  • Develop responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) in support of post‑design services.
  • Support engineering alternatives analyses by completing defined tasks, including data collection and analysis, performing routine calculations, and contributing to the evaluation of feasible solutions.
Qualifications
  • Preferred:
    Master of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university;
    PhD candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (EI) certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • 0‑4 years of structural engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with using AutoCAD, Micro Station, MathCAD, and Open Bridge Modeler.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs:
    Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail‑oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
