Position: Parking Enforcement Attendant ($16 hr) Pinellas County

Job Overview

Position:
Parking Enforcement Attendant

Reports to:

Account Manager

Hourly base pay: $16.00 per hour. Commission paid on tickets collected.

Work schedule:

8‑hour day shifts with a mix of day and night shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, parkers, coworkers, and clients.
  • Cashier and issue parking citations according to preapproved guidelines.
  • Flag, maintain, and repair lot signage.
  • Keep lot clean by picking up trash and performing general maintenance.
  • Operate and maintain revenue control equipment and troubleshoot parking meters.
  • Open and close booths, prepare and file reports on violations, citations, and parking tickets.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal, shoveling, salting and snow thrower operation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum 18 years of age, valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must pass criminal background check and drug screen.
  • One to three months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and to be trained in revenue control equipment operation.
  • Good mathematics, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Ability to stand for length of shift, lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, and work outside in all weather.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Work is primarily outdoors for the full shift. Employees may work in extreme heat or cold. Duties involve frequent standing, walking, and occasional running, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The position requires visual acuity for distance and color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
