The Accounting Specialist at Pro Vise Management Group is an integral part of our team, serving as the connection between our clients, support team, and advisors. This great communicator, influencer, and enthusiastic person will support the vision, positive culture, and team spirit. Position is in Clearwater, FL office. Must be able to work in the office during scheduled work hours. The Accounting Specialist diligently works to support our Pro Vise team.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Monitor and manage company financial data and transactions
- Record and document financial activity in accounting systems
- Handle billing, accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP)
- Identify and correct accounting discrepancies
- Collaborate with senior leadership to prepare financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and general ledgers
- Maintain accurate billing records and resolve discrepancies through research and analysis
- Generate invoices for financial planning as needed
- Oversee and streamline bookkeeping processes
- Track budget performance and evaluate expenses
- Reconcile incoming and outgoing financial accounts
- Support operational tasks such as filing property taxes, managing computer inventory, and processing commission payments
- Supports Compliance to maintain an effective and robust investment advisory compliance program
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required
- Ideally, 5 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or finance role
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to work well with all levels of management and staff
- Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Skilled in communicating complex financial data clearly
- Solid understanding of financial transactions, including AP and AR Description
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Broker Dealer and Investment Advisory Regulations a plus
- Demonstrates personal integrity, honesty and ability to deal with confidential information
- Excellent time management and strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problems
- Commitment to professionalism, accountability, customer focus, and teamwork
Internal applicants must be in good standing and have a minimum of 1 year of service with Kestra. Internal applicants must also have a minimum of 1 year service in current role unless approved by EVP.
