Job DescriptionThe Bank Teller supports branch operations by delivering exceptional member-facing service and providing the full range of consumer banking products and services. This role handles cash transactions accurately, opens and services depository accounts, assists with lending products and card services, and ensures every member receives clear, helpful, and professional support for their financial needs.
Responsibilities- Provide friendly, professional, and timely service to members and prospective members in a face‑to‑face branch environment.
- Process a variety of cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and cash advances with a high level of accuracy.
- Assist members with opening, maintaining, and servicing depository accounts such as checking, savings, certificate, IRA, revocable trust, and estate accounts.
- Support members with lending products and services, including explaining options and assisting with basic application steps as needed.
- Provide information and assistance related to credit and debit card products, including account inquiries and basic troubleshooting.
- Engage members in conversation to understand their financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Apply strong customer service and sales skills to identify opportunities to deepen relationships and promote suitable banking solutions.
- Perform administrative and account management tasks, including data entry, record updates, and documentation in line with branch procedures.
- Use Microsoft Office and banking systems to input, verify, and maintain accurate member and transaction information.
- Think creatively to present alternative solutions that meet member needs, especially when facing objections or rejections.
- Maintain a professional and confident presence while interacting with a steady flow of members throughout the day.
- Follow all branch policies, procedures, and compliance standards related to cash handling, security, and member confidentiality.
- Strong customer‑facing and member service skills, with the ability to engage comfortably in conversation.
- Proven cash handling experience with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Customer service and retail sales experience in a fast‑paced, member‑oriented environment.
- Ability to manage account‑related tasks and basic administrative responsibilities.
- Familiarity with banking or prior financial services experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry in banking or similar systems.
- Confidence in interacting with a wide range of people and handling questions or concerns in person.
- Ability to think outside the box and present alternative solutions when needed.
- Comfort with handling rejection or objections while maintaining a positive, professional attitude.

Work EnvironmentThis is an on‑site position based in a branch environment, working directly with members throughout the day. The role involves a mix of standing and sitting depending on business needs and member foot traffic. The schedule runs Monday through Saturday, with one day off during the week when working Saturday. You work with standard banking systems, data entry tools, and Microsoft Office in a professional branch setting that requires a neat, professional appearance and adherence to branch standards.
