FINANCIAL ANALYST - ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT

About this positionProvide complex financial and business related analysis and research for financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investment.
Responsibilities- Prepares financial and accounting forecasts and analyzes accounting trends in sales, finance, and general business conditions.
- Investigate operational and financial results and make recommendations for management to implement policies and guidelines to improve TSE’s financial position.
- Analyzes present and future financial performance of the company.
- Accumulates and analyzes information for the preparation of financial statements, ledgers, reports and taxes.
- Prepares financial reports for internal and external customers.
- Analyzes cost variances such as material cost variances, subcontracting, RMA’s, RTV’s and scrap.
- Analyzes material costs.
- Analyzes cost of products against quote and budget. Reports on material margin. Reviews with owners. Reviews reports on excess and obsolete monthly.
- Registers and monitors inventory, scrap, shop supplies, cost and sales. Physically audits the warehouse based on cycle counts.
- Ensures costs are capitalized or expensed to proper departments or divisions.
Coordinates with other departments in preparation of special analysis and reports. - Analysis, reporting and execution of pricing strategies in support of Company pricing financial goals and objectives.
- Safety training:
General Safety Orientation. - Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance from a four‑year college or university; plus three years related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Physical demands: requires regular sitting; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; close vision required.
- Work environment: office environment with moderate noise level.
