HARPS Global was founded in 2015 by Malaysian entrepreneur Haziq Bin Zairel Oh, and HARPS Global acquired Sempermed in 2023.

HARPS Global is currently focused on realising the benefits of the acquisition of Sempermed, including the expansion of its multi-million-dollar distribution network and the development of exciting new products. HARPS Global employs over 4000 employees across 17 countries, predominantly in Malaysia, Singapore, Austria, UK, and Florida.

The Director of Finance and Accounting leads the company’s financial strategy, planning, analysis, reporting, and overall financial management while providing direct oversight of the Accounting, FP&A and Pricing departments. The role partners with senior leadership to drive strategic decision-making, improve profitability, strengthen financial controls, and ensure disciplined financial stewardship across the organization.

As a high-level finance leader within the region, the role will translate global financial direction into effective regional execution while providing meaningful insights and perspectives from the local business.

• Global Financial Partnership:
  Work effectively and collaboratively with global finance leadership, serving as a high-level finance leader for the regional office while ensuring alignment with global priorities, standards, and financial objectives.
• Commercial Leadership:
  Partner closely with the VP of Sales to provide actionable financial insights, performance analysis, forecasting, and strategic guidance that support decision-making, drive profitable growth, and advance overall business performance.
• Financial Strategy, FP&A & Decision Support:
  Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis to support strategic planning, business decisions, and long-term financial objectives
• Financial Reporting, Accounting, & Controls:
  Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting, ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, and maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness.
• Pricing & Profitability Management:
  Direct the Pricing function, supporting pricing strategy, margin analysis, cost evaluation, and overall profitability optimization.
• Treasury, Banking, & Cash Management:
  Manage banking relationships, cash flow, liquidity, and treasury activities to ensure financial stability and operational funding needs.
• Tax & Compliance Coordination:
  Maintain oversight of tax considerations and coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure compliance and support tax planning initiatives.
• Leadership & Organizational Development:
  Lead, coach, and develop the Accounting and Pricing teams while fostering accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Process & Systems Improvement:
  Identify and implement enhancements to financial processes, reporting systems, controls, and operational efficiency.
