Salon Centric, a wholly owned subsidiary of L’Oréal is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated Sr Analyst of Finance. This position will be heavily focused on promotional finance management, interaction with both internal and external teams and report generation for forecasting, budgeting and influencing multiple P&L line items. Candidate must have a great sense of professionalism and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing Trade Event Agreements while expanding their focus into the P&L analysis, reconciliation, and promotional modeling. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of Trade Event Agreements and the ability to interpret financial data to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will also provide insights into promotional effectiveness and drive improvements in financial planning and analysis process.

ACCOUNTABILITIES :
  • Finance Management
    :
    • Update Passport Promotional Planning data for TEA database.
    • Run TEA database queries and ensure accuracy of export.
    • Create reverse purchase orders within SAP billing business partners back for Promotional Events.
    • Program SAP with TEA information for tracking of TEA promotions.
    • Run monthly debit memo batch and respond to vendor inquiries/disputes.
    • Review accounting reports on outstanding TEA’s and work to resolve.
    • Create and publish TEA aging report.
    • Ensure all P&L activity pertaining to TEA’s is clean and accurate.
    • Submit request for posting TEA’s to the Balance Sheet.
    • Monitor vendor contract terms and conditions.
  • Manage Contractual Inventory Management Agreements (IMAs):
    • Perform monthly inventory reconciliations associated with IMA programs for Partner Brands.
    • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to ensure accuracy of inventory data and sell-through figures.
    • Partner with the Merchandising team to review slow-moving or aging stock and develop action plans to markdown products.
  • Financial Transactions and Maintenance
    :
    • Collaborate with the Info Cell, Merchandising, and Compliance teams to maintain updated information in TEA and IMA databases.
    • Book requested financial transactions as needed, including Markdown funding, purchase rebates, national events, and other non-cyclical occurrences.
    • Resolve vendor issues with AP debits, investigate, and recalculate as needed.
    • Analyze promotional performance data to assess ROI, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
    • Contribute to the development of annual Trends and Budgets incorporating trade spend, inventory liabilities, and promotional plans.
Financial Reporting & Monthly Close:
  • Drive key financial reporting packages to support the business and finance teams, including pulling and preparing data for the Monthly Business Review (M ), Financial Dashboards, and Financial Month-End Notes.
  • Run SAP Error Log report and update YTD Promo Activity tracker.
  • Publish report with commentary on underfunded promotions.
  • Book all monthly events including SPIFFS, Rebates, and Channel-specific promos.
  • Post monthly journal entries (JEs) to credit the P&L for amounts funded by brands corresponding to inventory that has successfully sold through via IMA tracking.
  • Report to P&L manager any previously unplanned expenses resulting from TEA’s or IMAs.
  • Review brand feedback from prior promo period billings.
  • Submit monthly Debit Request to Accounts Payable.
  • Book accruals for outstanding promo, brand-specific rebates, and IMA liabilities.
  • Update price increase summaries and send report with commentary.
  • Book all Compliance Chargebacks.
