PositionSummary
The Financial Specialist assumes a leadership role within their area of expertise and collaborates with leaders across all levels of the organization. This role serves as the primary financial representative for large, complex clinical and business service lines, providing advanced financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning support.
As a subject matter expert, the Financial Specialist leverages critical thinking, analytical expertise, and professional judgment to enhance financial processes, improve data integrity, and support organizational goals. This position also leads complex projects, delivers exceptional customer service, and serves as a mentor to team members while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the financial representative for assigned clinical and business service lines.
- Lead and improve financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting processes.
- Support capital planning and capital asset management initiatives.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
- Lead complex projects that support organizational priorities and objectives.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial information.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to colleagues across the organization.
- Build effective partnerships with leaders and stakeholders at all levels.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field
Candidates must meet one of the following combinations:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 8 years of Accounting experience and Financial Analysis experience; or
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification , and 6 years of Accounting experience and Financial Analysis experience; or
- Master's degree in a related field and 6 years of Accounting experience and Financial Analysis experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Minimum of 4 years of healthcare finance experience
