Mental Health Tech; MHT - PRN

Position

Mental Health Technician – PRN at Windmoor Healthcare of Clearwater, Florida. Two 12‑hour shifts: 7 p‑7 a and 7 a‑7 p.

The MHT, under RN supervision, provides milieu management, patient care supervision, therapeutic group leadership, Q15 rounds, one‑to‑one supervision, crisis intervention, and follows the treatment team’s therapeutic interventions.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least one year of previous experience in a healthcare setting and/or behavioral health experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Completion of aggression management/crisis intervention/restraint training.
• Must pass competency assessments within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work overtime and flexible hours.
• Strong prioritization, multi‑tasking, problem‑solving, listening, communication, and follow‑through skills focused on high‑quality patient care.

Ability to move efficiently, sit or walk during shifts, lift up to 30 lbs, restrain aggressive patients safely, read and write legibly, respond to alarms, perform manual tasks as needed.
