Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive exams and evaluations to establish patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions using techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to enhance patient recovery.
- Consult with other healthcare professionals regarding patient care plans and document progress consistently in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the treatment process, ensuring they are informed and engaged in their care.
- Regularly assess patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to communicate patient needs and treatment updates.
- Participate in community outreach initiatives to promote health education and the importance of physical therapy.
- Stay current with continuing education opportunities, in-service training, and professional development to enhance clinical skills.
- Supervise and mentor support staff and physical therapy students, fostering an environment of learning and best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation regarding patient treatment, progress notes, and billing in accordance with clinic procedures.
Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. We serve a diverse demographic, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Our therapists are trained to interact effectively with patients of various backgrounds and to tailor their communication and care strategies accordingly, ensuring inclusivity in our service delivery.
Qualifications- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; advanced degrees preferred.
- A valid state license in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required to ensure patient safety during therapeutic interventions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective collaboration and patient education.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience, particularly in orthopedic physical therapy, is preferred.
- Experience with rehabilitation equipment and modalities commonly used in an orthopedic setting.
- Prior involvement in program development or community outreach is a plus.
The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
