Summary:

Serves as an staffing resource office pool team member completing 13-week assignments with our hospital Cardiovascular and Interventional Services Team, who assist in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures. Independently functions during diagnostic and interventions with minimal supervision.

Description:

SRO System Pool Cardiac Cath Lab Tech-13-26 week full time assignment with on call requirements. Position fills staffing needs of unit.

The Cardiovascular Interventional Tech serves as a member of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Services Team assisting in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures. Independently functions during diagnostic and interventions with minimal supervision.

• Scrubbing in for Procedures (Cardiac Cathsand Pacemaker Implants)
• Using Hemodynamic System to Monitor Patient and Document Procedure
• On Call for Emergent Procedures

Minimum Qualifications (May qualify 1 of 5 ways):

• 1) Technical or Associates in Radiology + ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) + 1 year experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology OR
• 2) Associates in Respiratory + RRT (Respiratory Therapy), Active NBRC Credential for RRT + 1 year experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology OR
• 3) Graduate of Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) Program/Degree and No Experience OR
• 4) 3 years of Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology in lieu of education OR
• 5) RCIS and/or RCES and 2 years of experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology in lieu of education

Required:

Active BLS & ACLS certification (accepted from American Heart Association)
