Work Hours

Job Requirements
  • Understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel.
  • Prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to upsell guests.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • General knowledge of the city and its attractions.
  • Extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services, and facilities.
  • Handle cash and balance cash drawer.
  • Team player, partner with management and other employees professionally.
Job Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
  • Register guests, verify reservation, address, and credit information.
  • Accept payment for guests’ accounts at registration and checkout.
  • Maintain a house bank, deposit, and report receipts daily.
  • Issue key and control entrance of safety deposit boxes.
  • Post miscellaneous charges as requested.
  • Assist concierge with mail, facsimiles, and guest information regarding hotel facilities and local attractions.
  • Book reservations for guests approaching the front desk.
  • Complete the registration process: inputting and retrieving information, confirming guest info and room rate, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing welcome packet, ensuring guest knows room location or having a bell person accompany.
  • Assist guests with check‑out: ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted, handling money, processing credits and debits, accepting and recording various forms of payment, converting foreign currency, managing gift certificates and cards.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information: room categories, rates, packages, promotions, the local area and answer guest inquiries.
  • Field guest complaints, conduct research, resolve, and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction.
  • Carry out supervisor requests according to hotel policies and SOPs.
  • Follow 4 Keys service standards, SOPs, safety and security procedures.
  • Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
  • Additional guest services duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year experience in public guest/customer service position.
  • Hotel experience preferred.
