We are seeking a Senior IT Security Administrator to replace our external IT Managed Service Provider and take ownership of day-to-day IT operations, endpoint security, and identity management, and cybersecurity tooling for a healthcare organization of approximately 80 employees.

This is a hands-on, execution-driven role ideal for candidates with MSP, IT Systems Administrator, or IT Security Administrator experience who are comfortable owning security tools, processes, and enforcement.

• Replace and internalize IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) responsibilities
• Provision, deploy, and manage employee devices (laptops, desktops)
• Maintain accurate device inventory and lifecycle tracking
• Create, document, and maintain IT and cybersecurity SOPs

• Administer Active Directory, including user onboarding and offboarding
• Enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA / 2FA) across all systems and devices
• Administer Keeper Password Manager and enforce password best practices
• Manage endpoint security tools and device compliance

• Administer and monitor phishing protection tools using Proofpoint or similar platforms
• Support endpoint detection and response (EDR) and SIEM tools (e.g., Huntress or similar)
• Monitor security alerts, investigate suspicious activity, and respond to incidents
• Coordinate quarterly penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and remediation efforts
• Maintain incident response and escalation procedures

• Lead IT and security setup for all new hires
• Train employees on: secure system usage, password management, MFA usage, phishing awareness and cybersecurity best practices
• Serve as the primary IT and cybersecurity point of contact for employees

• Work closely with internal IT staff and developers to ensure all tools and software meet security requirements before deployment
• Participate in on-call IT/security coverage
• Develop and maintain coverage and escalation plans for PTO or absences

• 4–7+ years of experience as an IT Systems Administrator, IT Security Administrator, or MSP Engineer
• Experience in a healthcare or HIPAA-regulated environment
• Strong experience with:
  Phishing protection tools, Active Directory, Endpoint management, and Password management platforms
• Ability to write and follow SOPs and operational documentation
• Strong troubleshooting and execution skills

• Experience with Google Workspace security controls
• Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, or similar
• Experience supporting penetration testing or vulnerability management
• Experience training non-technical users
