The Role You ll Play to Create Success

We are looking for an experienced CISO & Senior Vice President of IT Operations to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality PEO projects. As a CISO and Senior Vice President of IT Operations you will be leading daily operational activities and working with department management to ensure daily business practices meet company goals and ensure the development and implementation of processes are efficient and effective for the future of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executive ownership of enterprise IT governance strategy and risk management across Cloud and on-premise environments including but not limited to identity, data protection, threat detection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Define and execute the IT Operations strategy aligned with organizational growth, compliance and client service objectives.
  • Ownership of infrastructure strategy across cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity aligned with business risk tolerance.
  • Partner with Enterprise CIO and executive leadership to ensure IT capabilities support business cycles, open enrollment periods, and regulatory deadlines.
  • Act as a key advisor to executive leadership on operational risk, compliance exposure, and technology scalability.
  • Responsible for working with enterprise Legal & Compliance and other necessary departments to implement and ensure that IT security & compliance meets the needs, governance, policies, and procedures along with what tools will be used to enforce it.
  • Presenting regular feedback reports on IT security and compliance posture to the operational companies governing bodies.
  • Communicate complex operational issues clearly and effectively to executive and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead modernization initiatives including cloud adoption, platform scalability, and automation of operational processes.
  • Ensure high system availability, and accurate processing across business cycles.
  • Coordinate closely with development and applications, product, and client experience teams during critical processing windows.
  • Ensure IT Operations support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including IRS, Department of Labor and other state labor agencies, NYDFS CRR 500, HIPAA, PCI DSS for payment processing, and SOC 1 / SOC 2.
  • Oversee the IT disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational resilience for the enterprise.
  • Executive Leadership of the IT Service Management functions to support internal teams and external client operations.
  • Establish and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) aligned to business functions.
  • Drive incident, problem, and change management processes with a strong focus on client impact.
  • Own IT Operations budgets, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure vendor performance meets availability, compliance, and service expectations.
  • Build and lead a high performing IT Operations organization with expertise in regulated environments.
  • Develop leadership depth, succession planning, and cross functional collaboration.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and client centricity.
  • Review and evaluate project feasibility across multiple companies based on executive management’s requirements, priorities, and resources.
  • Strategic understanding of Azure architecture, availability zones, networking, and governance models, with accountability for scalability, resilience, cost management (Fin Ops), and platform standards.
  • Proven ability to lead major incident response, oversee production support teams, and drive root-cause analysis, post-incident reviews, and service reliability improvements.
  • Experience in operational discipline through automation, monitoring, and standardization using tools such as Azure Monitor, App Insights, Dynatrace, and infrastructure-as-code approaches.
  • Proven experience in security and operational controls supporting audits and regulatory requirements, with the ability to communicate risk posture clearly to executive leadership and governing bodies.
  • Strong collaborator with application development, engineering, and business leaders, ensuring infrastructure and security platforms enable delivery rather than constrain it.
