We're working with a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Clearwater who are expanding their technical field engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Network Field Engineer to work directly with a diverse customer base, supporting and delivering IT infrastructure projects across the Tampa Bay area.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support across customer environments
- Install, configure and support network, server and end-user infrastructure
- Deliver infrastructure refresh, migration and deployment projects
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls and wireless networks
- Support Microsoft 365, Windows Server and Active Directory environments
- Troubleshoot complex hardware, software and networking issues
- Perform site surveys, installations and customer infrastructure assessments
- Work closely with customers to understand technical requirements and deliver solutions
- Provide technical escalation for Service Desk and Remote Support teams
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and update customer environments
- Travel to customer sites across the Clearwater / Tampa Bay area
Required Experience
- 3+ years' experience in a Field Engineer, Systems Engineer or Network Engineer position
- Strong experience supporting Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
- Hands-on networking experience across TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP and routing
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting switches, firewalls and wireless infrastructure
- Familiarity with technologies from vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Aruba or Ubiquiti
- Experience with hardware deployment, troubleshooting and infrastructure installations
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple customer environments
- Previous experience working for an MSP, IT Services Provider or Consultancy preferred
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites
- Competitive salary of up to $85,000
