Commercial Office Janitorial - Housekeeping

Responsibilities

• Maintains office facilities in clean and sanitary condition
• Understands basic principles of disinfecting surfaces to prevent spread of illnesses
• Cleans and services restrooms, offices, and common areas
• Ensure cleanliness of areas after repairs, upgrades, or tenant move-outs
• Follows cleaning procedures and checklists for special cleaning as needed
• Sweeps, mops floors using clean water and sanitized mops
• Ensures supplies are filled (tissues, paper towels, soap, etc.) in areas as needed
• Appropriately disposes of trash and other waste from all areas of office facilities
• Maintains trash cans sanitized with new liner, tie and disposes trash in dumpster
• Moves furniture while exercising ergonomic lift/pushing/pulling and other safety procedures
• Cleans assigned areas using proper solutions, equipment, and techniques
• Uses, stores, and refills properly labeled chemicals
• Cleans equipment after each use and stores it neatly in designated area
• Maintains par levels in cleaning supplies
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
• This role requires the cleaning of both the Datex Business Center and Datex corporate office

• Must be able to read warning signs and safety instructions
• Must be able to read and understand chemical labels on cleaning products and other liquids
• Must be able to work quickly and accurately
• Must be able to understand directions and requests given in English
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

This is a physical job that includes (but is not limited to) the following activities:

• You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 30lbs. and walk from building to building
• You must be able to tolerate hot temps and cold temps outside while walking the property
• You must be able to climb stairs and carry cleaning tools, chemicals, and supplies
• You must be able to climb stepstools or small ladders to clean above eye-level
• You must be able to use your body strength to sweep, vacuum, wipe, and reach
