Job Summary
The Accounting Manager will lead the AR/AP team and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, managing month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Duties / Responsibilities- Supervise and manage the daily operations of AR/AP, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Coordinate with external auditors and support the audit process.
- Maintain and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance and safeguard company assets.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management.
- Assist the Controller for tax reporting and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff performance.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with ERP system implementations or upgrades.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
- Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

- Monitoring and Controlling Resources — Monitoring and controlling resources and overseeing the spending of money.
