Job Description

Job Position: CNC/Lathe Machinist - Weekend Shift

Location: Clearwater, FL 33755

Pay Rate: $27.00-$28.00 hr.

Shift: Weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday - 06:00am - 6:30pm)

• Operate CNC lathes (Okuma preferred) to machine parts from aluminum, some plastic and stainless steel.
• Perform in-process inspection using calipers, micrometers, and other gauging tools.
• Make offset adjustments and program changes as needed to maintain tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints; apply shop math to verify part dimensions.
• Perform basic maintenance on machines (cleaning, coolant maintenance weekly/monthly); no major mechanical repairs.
• Assist around the shop with deburring, tapping, and other tasks to keep parts moving.
• Maintain all paperwork related to part production and company records.
• Observe and follow safety policies and procedures.

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC lathes.
• Experience with CNC Okuma is a plus.
• Working knowledge of algebra, geometry, and metric-to-imperial conversions.
• General knowledge of G-code and M-code.
• Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
• Skilled in part inspection with accountability to part quality.
• OSHA 10-hour certification.

• Must be able to lift and move products weighing 30–50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks for 2–4 hours at a time; occasional bending, stooping, twisting.
• Anti-fatigue mats and stools are available as needed.
