Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to control a range of machine tools, ensuring efficient production of parts and assemblies.
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models to extract necessary parameters for programming.
  • Monitor output to ensure that designs are produced correctly, adjusting machine settings or programming as necessary.
  • Perform regular machine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot common issues.
  • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure all products meet stringent standards for precision and quality.
  • Train machine operators and provide technical support to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to understand product specifications and develop machining strategies accordingly.
  • Continually seek opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.
  • Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in CNC programming in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM software, with strong understanding of machine code and ability to write and troubleshoot programs.
  • Excellent knowledge of operation, programming, and maintenance of a variety of CNC machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles and precision measurement tools.
  • Experience working with tight tolerances in a high-volume production environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CNC Programming Certification) a plus.
