Essential Functions
- As primary trainer for the team, ensure that necessary documentation and training is available to the team to support operations and processes.
- Update training documentation for the team, to be used for employee development planning and cross training.
- Coordinate with the coaches and planners on daily targets to production key performance indicators (KPI) and communicate the status to the team, highlighting areas required to win the day.
- First responder to eAndon calls within the span of control (Work Cells).
- Line coverage for absenteeism, vacation and CI events that pull resources.
- Coordinate work distribution throughout the cell with a focus on productivity.
- Provide coach with feedback on team and employee performance while maintaining high levels of professionalism.
- Support continuous improvement opportunities, by using the CDM process and problem‑solving tools.
- Daily update of paperwork required to document the shift KPIs as required.
- Monitor daily check sheets (Pre and post shift) for the work cell.
- High school or equivalent education.
- Must be able to read, follow and comprehend written work instructions, internal SMP procedures and safety documents which may be technical in nature.
- 1–4 years circuit card manufacturing knowledge including through‑hole, surface mount and quality checks from AOI and X‑ray.
- Ability to lift/move material up to 35 pounds. May be required to work with hazardous materials and chemicals.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Ability to inspect the condition of CCA kit when received (OVP Process – Operator Verification Process) and perform self‑verification of quality of work.
- Ability to hand‑place SMT part to class requirements.
- Ability to learn and flex to other areas.
- Perform all soldering and inspection activities using a 10X microscope.
- IPC‑610 certified.
- Ability to determine and select proper soldering iron tip size.
- Ability to utilize desoldering equipment including hot tweezers and hot air pencil.
- Able to determine component types and polarity and install correctly per work instruction.
- Ability to work in spreadsheets and documents utilizing Windows products.
- Proficient in the use of a personal computer to navigate online documents, drawings, and instructions.
- Minimum of 6 years of industry or similarly related job experience.
- Prior experience working in a team‑oriented environment.
- 5 years previous work in electronics.
