Job DescriptionThe Materials Control Coordinator executes end‑to‑end inventory control activities by receiving, verifying, storing, issuing, tracking, and reconciling materials throughout the full product life cycle to ensure accurate inventory, uninterrupted manufacturing, and timely work order closure.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)- Receiving & Verification: Receive purchased and transferred materials by unloading, inspecting, and matching quantities, part numbers, and documentation to ensure receipt accuracy. Verify material condition and identification by checking labels, revision levels, and packaging to ensure compliance. Record material receipts by entering transactions into the inventory system to establish accurate on‑hand balances.
- Storage & Inventory Control: Store materials in designated locations by labeling, racking, and organizing stock to maintain traceability and FIFO. Maintain inventory accuracy by performing daily cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and completing system adjustments. Monitor inventory levels by reviewing usage, shortages, and excess to support production planning.
- Kitting & Manufacturing Support: Kit materials for manufacturing by picking, verifying, and staging components per BOM or work order. Deliver materials to point of use to support efficient manufacturing flow. Validate kit completeness prior to release to production.
- Work Order Execution & Closure: Issue materials to work orders by executing accurate system transactions. Track material usage during production and resolve shortages, substitutions, or scrap issues. Reconcile and close work orders by confirming material usage, returns, and balances.
- Shipping and Logistics: Label, pack, and load items for shipment according to specifications. Prepare shipping paperwork and arrange for carrier pick up as needed. Assist with maintaining records concerning items received and shipped.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–4 years experience in material control, warehousing, or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read part numbers, BOMs, and work orders.
- Basic computer and ERP system skills.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role.

The team member’s essential job duties require the team member to spend his/her time in the warehouse controlling inventory and the various functions associated with.
Position TypeThis is a regular, full‑time non‑exempt (hourly) position with the understanding that a regular workweek may require extended days and hours as needed to meet business needs. Must be able, available, and willing to work more than 40 hours per week, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
