The Panther Group is seeking experienced Cable Inspectors for exciting contract opportunities with a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer in Clearwater, FL. These positions are available on both 1st and 2nd shift and offer the opportunity to work on high‑quality cable assemblies in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. We are looking for detail‑oriented professionals with strong cable inspection experience, IPC‑A‑620 knowledge, and the ability to work effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect cable assemblies using established methods, specifications, and quality standards
- Perform solder and crimp inspections in accordance with IPC‑WHMA‑A‑620 standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, wire harness prints, diagrams, work instructions, and IPC manuals
- Utilize measuring tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, scales, and other inspection equipment
- Identify non‑conforming products and determine acceptance, rejection, or rework requirements
- Verify quality using statistical process control and inspection procedures
- Communicate effectively with assemblers, engineers, technicians, and management to resolve quality concerns
- Support assembly‑related tasks within assigned inspection areas as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow revision control procedures
- Prior cable inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with solder and crimp inspection using IPC‑WHMA‑A‑620 standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wire harness drawings, diagrams, and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must successfully complete required medical screening
- Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
- Experience with visual inspection and revision‑controlled documentation
- Ability to support assembly tasks when needed
Pay rate $19-30 per hour DOE
