Summary
The Maintenance mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment throughout the facility and manufacturing operations. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting production efficiency, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and effectively. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on technician with strong industrial maintenance experience and a safety-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities Troubleshooting & Repairs- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment including PLCs, relay logic panels, AC/DC drives, and testing equipment
- Troubleshoot 480
VAC/220
VAC 3‑phase systems and low‑voltage systems ranging from 12
VAC to 120
VAC - Diagnose and repair AC/DC control systems including motors, contractors, overloads, VFDs, HMIs, thermostats, power supplies
- Troubleshoot oven burner temperature control systems including ignitors, sensors, thermocouples, and tracking units
- Respond quickly to unplanned equipment failures to minimize production downtime
- Install, service, inspect, and maintain facility and production equipment
- Support continuous operation of coil coating lines, roll forming machines, slitters, and warehouse equipment
- Perform preventive electrical and mechanical maintenance functions as directed
- Assist with equipment startups and shutdowns in accordance with company procedures
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures including lockout/tagout, confined space, fall prevention, and proper grounding procedures
- Report unsafe conditions and maintain a safe working environment
- Follow all reliability procedures, process control requirements, testing procedures, and job description cards related to assigned work
- Utilize the work order system to enter, update, and complete work orders
- Communicate and document maintenance issues for scheduling and follow-up purposes
- Communicate effectively with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve operational issues
- Assist with technical troubleshooting and training of maintenance personnel
- Order parts and supplies necessary to maintain continuous equipment operation
- Assist other maintenance personnel with troubleshooting and repairs
- Perform additional duties as assigned

RequirementsRequired Qualifications
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Minimum 4 years of industrial maintenance experience including:
Bearings, Gearboxes, Chains & sprockets, Shafts, Shaft couplings - Minimum 2 years of industrial hydraulic experience including:
Pumps, Control valves, Cylinders, Manifolds, Hose fabrication and plumbing - Minimum 2 years of pneumatic experience
- Previous industrial or manufacturing experience required
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial electrical systems and control equipment
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation systems
- Experience working in fast‑paced manufacturing environments
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and work order systems
