About This Opportunity

CTI Staffing is partnering with a leading aerospace instrumentation manufacturer to place a Brazing Technician at their Clearwater, FL production facility. This is a contract opportunity with potential to convert to a full-time position for the right candidate.

What You'll Do

• Perform hands-on brazing, assembly, and fabrication of precision aerospace components including sensors, probes, and subassemblies
• Work from engineering drawings, process sheets, diagrams, and shop orders to meet exact dimensional and quality specifications
• Use hand tools including torque wrenches, crimpers, wire strippers, multi-meters, and calipers to assemble and inspect components
• Conduct in-process visual and dimensional inspections and perform cosmetic final cleanup
• Identify and properly handle defective items according to established quality procedures
• Maintain equipment in proper working order, verify calibration due dates, and report any malfunctions or defects
• Support rework, modification, and testing of prototype and production assemblies as needed
• Sustain production standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment

What You Bring

• Hands-on brazing experience - this is a firm requirement
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment (0-2 years minimum)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing process sheets
• Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring devices including calipers
• Basic math skills including unit conversion (decimals, fractions)
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined under ITAR regulations - proof of status required prior to employment
• High school diploma or equivalent education or work experience
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Clearwater, FL - no hybrid or remote option

Nice-to-Have

• Aerospace, defense, or aviation manufacturing background
• Soldering experience
• Experience in an ITAR-regulated facility
• Familiarity with AS9100 or NADCAP quality standards
• Experience operating sand blasters, presses, or laser welding equipment

Technical Environment

Brazing and soldering equipment, torque wrenches, crimpers, wire strippers, multi-meters, microscopes, calipers and dimensional measurement devices, laser welder, sand blaster, press equipment, calibration systems, manufacturing drawings and process documentation.

What Success Looks Like

• Within 30 days:
  Understands the production process, works safely and accurately from drawings and shop orders, and consistently meets quality standards without rework spikes
• Within 90 days:
  Operates at full production pace, takes ownership of in-process inspections, and flags issues proactively before they become defects

Requirements

Required:

• Hands-on brazing experience (required - not optional)
• 0-2 years manufacturing environment experience
• Blueprint and process sheet reading ability
• Hand tool proficiency (calipers, torque wrench, crimpers, multi-meter)
• Basic math and computer skills
• Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR regulations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 100% onsite availability in Clearwater, FL 33765
