Pay Range: Starting at $20.00/hour (based on experience)
RESPONSIBILITIES- The Entry‑Level Machinist is responsible for assisting in the fabrication, modification, repair, and maintenance of tooling, fixtures, machine components, and production equipment used in the manufacturing of medical devices. This position supports Engineering, Manufacturing, and New Product Development activities while maintaining compliance with company quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Operate manual machine tools, including mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, and other shop equipment.
- Fabricate parts and components from engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications.
- Assist in the construction, repair, and modification of fixtures, jigs, tooling, and production aids.
- Measure and inspect completed parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support Engineering and Manufacturing teams with prototype builds and process improvements.
- Follow all quality procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and special projects as assigned.
- Comply with FDA, ISO 13485, GMP, and company requirements applicable to medical device manufacturing.
- Support company objectives related to quality, safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Other duties as required
- Tool 0–2 years of machining experience preferred.
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Experience working with machine shop equipment preferred.
- Basic understanding of machining principles and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Basic knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently after training.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical school, vocational training, or machining certificate preferred.

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 pounds throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely operate machine shop equipment.
- Manual dexterity required to handle tools, equipment, and small components.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and moving equipment.
- Work performed in an office and factory settings.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Regularly required to sit, stand, and move around facilities. - Manufacturing and machine shop environment.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as applicable.
- May occasionally support production activities outside the machine shop area.
