Associate Material Planner

The Associate Material Planner supports day‑to‑day material planning, supply chain coordination, and manufacturing activities. The role focuses on ERP‑driven material planning, production support, schedule execution, and transactional support through accurate purchase order creation.

Responsibilities include scheduling, planning, and execution of manufacturing work orders, maintaining production schedules, balancing material availability with equipment capacity and labor resources, and collaborating with plant leadership and cross‑functional teams.

• Run ERP/MRP reports to identify material needs and support decision‑making
• Create, maintain, and monitor purchase orders; ensure timely delivery and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate PO dates and supplier acknowledgments in ERP systems
• Manage Kanban inventory levels and respond to demand fluctuations
• Analyze safety stock and reorder points
• Monitor demand using ERP tools
• Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve supply chain issues
• Create production schedules for operations; analyze, determine usage, and release materials to meet production schedules, customer deadlines, and inventory goals
• Coordinate, expedite, schedule changes, and expedite jobs as required
• Send daily sales order acknowledgments to customer service
• Maintain raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventories to be responsive to sales and work orders within turn objectives and dollar levels
• Support forecasting activity by participating in forecast review meetings and providing feedback to supervisor as required
• Leverage internal digital tools and reporting systems to support data‑driven decision‑making and track procurement performance
• Support cost savings goals and sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction and recycling programs
• Prepare reports for management, as required
• Develop and document best practices

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a business‑related field preferred.

ASCM/APICS certification preferred.

1–3 years of experience with Microsoft Office, ERP systems (QAD, SAP, Oracle), drafting SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
