The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment throughout the facility and manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, supporting production efficiency, and ensuring equipment operates safely and effectively.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Diagnose and repair motors, contractors, overloads, VFDs, HMIs, thermostats, and power supplies.
- Troubleshoot 480
VAC/220
VAC 3-phase systems and low-voltage electrical systems. - Maintain and repair production equipment, including coil coating lines, roll forming machines, slitters, and warehouse equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and support equipment startups and shutdowns.
- Respond quickly to equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
- Follow OSHA and company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and other safety protocols.
- Utilize the work order system to document, update, and complete maintenance activities.
- Communicate maintenance issues and coordinate repairs with production and quality teams.
- Assist with ordering parts, technical troubleshooting, and training maintenance personnel.
- Minimum 4 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Minimum 2 years of industrial hydraulic experience.
- Minimum 2 years of pneumatic system experience.
- Previous industrial or manufacturing experience required.
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial electrical systems and control equipment.
- Experience with bearings, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, shafts, and couplings.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation experience preferred.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and work order systems preferred.
