Position: Manufacturing Technician I

Manufacturing Technician

At Lithionics Battery®, we design advanced battery systems that offer real savings when replacing common battery chemistries. These are the most advanced Lithium‑Ion batteries and may be found in low speed electric vehicles, boat, RVs and more.

Important Qualities
  • Color vision – ability to distinguish different colors, as wires are color coded.
  • Dexterity – steady hand and good hand‑eye coordination for manipulating small parts.
  • Math skills – basic math knowledge and computer ability.
  • Physical stamina – able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive work.
  • Physical strength – able to lift or move heavy components within OSHA guidelines; some tasks require bending.
  • Technical skills – understanding of technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics for a wide range of products.
  • Prior training as automotive or motorcycle mechanic.
What Does a Manufacturing Technician Do?
  • Work toward achieving company goals for superior quality and on‑time delivery.
  • Build various stages of assemblies from kit of parts to final assembly in line with training criteria and progressive pay structure.
  • Comply with procedures applicable to product assembly and workmanship standards.
  • Understand and work with electrical wiring and mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Apply hand tools appropriately.
  • Adhere to anti‑static policies.
  • Follow company policies on quality and safety.
  • Comply with special product line requirements.
  • Maintain consistent quality workmanship and report engineering changes, concessions, and defects.
  • Perform any other production duties as needed.
  • Stage systems for integration and final test/QC.
  • Support integration and factory acceptance testing.
  • Assist production planning with work order requirements and parts issued.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
In This Role, You Will
  • Assemble equipment according to procedures & drawing specifications.
  • Read calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
  • Assemble components using proper equipment and techniques, following work instructions.
  • Assemble various configurations of components to corresponding assembly prints.
  • Verify that assembled components meet quality guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition – conduct scheduled maintenance.
  • Keep all working areas safe and free of debris.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to do basic math.
  • At least 1 year of assembly experience.
  • Availability to work 6:00 am–4:00 pm Monday–Thursday; overtime may be required.
