Summary
Set‑up, adjust and operate conventional and/or CNC machines to fabricate required parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, or other provided information to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and set‑up requirements.
- Prepare the correct material for machining.
- Select the most appropriate tools for the assigned tasks.
- Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit programs.
- Run your first piece and make adjustments as needed; ensure the part meets the print.
- Navigate within the TSE ERP system and correctly enter required data.

- Hearing Protection Training
Education and/Or Experience
- Certificate from a college or technical school; or three to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to perform machinist’s math; apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Regularly use hands, fingers, and arms; talk and/or hear.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; expected to use a team lift approach or appropriate equipment for items weighing >50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
- Noisy environment usually moderate.
