Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
SummaryResponsible for weighing chemicals and raw materials for use in the manufacture of finished goods. Prepares compound for molding or extruding operations. Blends materials on rubber mills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Responsible for having compound materials checked by the laboratory. Correctly weigh out raw materials when following a formula sheet.
- Prepare molding preforms through use of clicker machine or scissors to a prescribed shape and weight as necessary.
- Help facilitate the monthly RCOMP cycle count and year-end RCHEM/RCOMP inventories. Be able to correctly and accurately retrieve data from and enter data into the ERP system. Visually check compound for defects and consistency.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least five years of related experience or training.
Language SkillsAbility to read and understand provided documents. Ability to communicate effectively.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, weight and volume, along with other basic math calculations.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands, fingers, and arms. Employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The employee is expected to use a team lift approach or the appropriate equipment for items weighing >50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORKENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
