Job Description & How to Apply Below
Pastry professionals encouraged to apply — chocolate experience welcome but not required.
Coco Addiction is hiring a skilled, detail-driven, and passionate Chocolatier / Pastry Cook to join our artisan chocolate production team. Most of this role is hands-on chocolate work: tempering, molded bonbons, enrobed confections, ganaches, panning, bars, and seasonal collections, with pastry and dessert production rounding out the week.
If you come from a pastry background, you already have most of what this job needs — precision, temperature control, batch consistency, clean technique, and the patience to make the four hundredth piece look exactly like the first.
- Experience required: Minimum 3 years professional pastry, confectionery, or chocolate experience
- Compensation: Hourly, based on experience
- Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shifts
- Hours scheduled between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
- Occasional flexibility needed during holidays and peak production periods
- Temper chocolate and produce molded bonbons, truffles, enrobed confections, bars, barks, and pieces with consistent shine, snap, and finish.
- Make ganaches, caramels, gianduja, pralines, and other centers to spec
- Run enrobing, panning, molding, and finishing work
- Support seasonal and holiday collections from first sample through full production runs
- Produce pastries, desserts, and baked goods alongside our chocolate line
- Hold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety in a chocolate-critical environment
- Assist with production planning, prep, scaling, and inventory
- Work closely with a small team in a fast-paced production kitchen
- Minimum 3 years of professional pastry, confectionery, or chocolate kitchen experience
- Strong fundamentals: accurate scaling, temperature control, recipe consistency, clean work habits
- Genuine interest in artisan chocolate making — this is the majority of the work
- Comfort with repetitive precision work and the patience to hold a standard across a full production run
- Ability to multitask and stay efficient under deadline pressure
- Dependable, organized, and team-oriented
- Prior chocolate or confectionery experience is highly valued, but we will train the right candidate with a professional pastry background
- Ability to follow recipes and production plans while meeting quality and time standards
- Capability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weight, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable time management, teamwork, and clear communication with colleagues and supervisors
- Must have reliable transportation
- Hourly pay based on experience
- Room for growth
- Stable weekday schedule — no late nights, no weekends in a typical week
- Hands-on training
- High-quality ingredients, small-batch artisan production, and a creative, supportive team
