We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines in a precision manufacturing environment. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for producing high-quality components according to engineering specifications, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or other equipment) to produce precision parts.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate production.
- Select, align, and secure tooling, fixtures, and materials for machining operations.
- Perform machine adjustments and offsets as needed to maintain part tolerances.
- Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and quality records.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade school training a plus.
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience preferred (set-up and operation).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CNC programming (G-code, M-code) a plus.
- Ability to lift up and stand for extended periods.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Fast-paced, precision manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to machinery, moderate noise, and metalworking fluids.
